Choice of words & the message
In human relationship, one of the the main vehicle of connection is communication, be it written or verbal. And how one communicate is very much depending on a person’s personality/character/attitude/perception/experience.
Today I am being reminded that in human relation & communication, we need to consciously make a serious effort NOT take thing on a personal basis on the 1st instance. In any given situation, if we can step out of ourselves, take a non related third party stand, we will realised that with our natural instinct, our initial reaction is so abbrasive/cold/distant/…. I suppose, like it or not, the fact is, it all come down to the level of threat a person feel, consciously and unconsciouly. Nice to see that a person who is self assured & with much depth, warm & difussive (milder & smoother) but generally people tend to have almost knee jerk reaction or respond to a situation, a word spoken, a request, a statement. That probably explain most of the respectable leaders are calm & slow with their words, they always have this warm & embrassing demeanour while they speak or respond. I suppose that is their tricks of double or tripple process what they are going to say, the choice of words, the message to be sent.
Quick to listen, slow to speak. What an enriching lesson. How enlightening. Time to take up yoga, pilates & meditation

Engagement Manager
Responsibilities:
- Focused on driving Professional Services and Managed Services business (revenue)
- Position & sell products and services portfolio
- Plays lead role in identifying customer business issues and translating them into innovative IT Professional Services led solutions

Professional Services Consultant - SAN/Storage/Exchange
Responsibilities:
- Work to meet the requirements of Enterprise clients by providing and deploying technical architectures that deliver the highest value solutions.
- Work closely with the sales team to present solutions to customers’ unique requirements.
- Planning and administering major portions of the implementation and engineering effort including : Designing/architecting major components / Task management / Resources identification / Client deliverables / Communication with clients and management
- Scope and write detailed Statements of Work
- Engage in sales team activities to scope service deliverables with ability to translate business issues into deliverables
- Project manage engagements
- Deliver on consulting tasks (e.g., installation and configuration of 3rd party applications)

Requirements:

Service Delivery Manager
Responsibilities:
- Single Point of Ownership and Accountability for customer
- To retain existing customers by providing pro active service delivery and reactive escalation support to operations teams.
- To provide pro-active support to nominated customer on the delivery of contracted SLA’s and services to ensure that SLA’s are meet and customer satisfaction rates are achieved.
- Provide reactive escalation to the operations team for all support issues to ensure customer satisfaction and retentions.
- Proactively manage post sales delivery services for nominated accounts - monitor and identification of critical situations and resources needed to resolve the situation to ensure that SLA’s and customer satisfaction rates are achieved.
- Reactively support the operations team by dealing with all escalations on priority calls, service failure issues, and the allocation of the resources needed to resolve the situations to ensure that SLA’s and customer satisfaction rates are meet.
- Generate, interpret and present customer SLA reports to clients to show delivery of service and maintain high customer satisfaction rates, and to management to inform them of business achievements and show the Operation Teams performance against SLA’s.
- Develop both generic operational and customer specific processes in co-operation with all relevant support teams to provide reliable and consistent service delivery.
- Participate in Customer escalation management including post incident reviews to identify process issues and address staff non-compliance to procedures.
- Work hand-in-hand with Sales, Pre-sales, Professional Services and Support team members.
- Experience in managing a small team of about <5 members
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in IT.
- Expereince in Project implementation, project coordination, pre-sales, support
- Has strong people engagement & relationship building ability
- Strong communicator & conflict disolver
- A strong team player
- At least 3 years working in service delivery management role in a vendor environment.
- Telco/Telco applications industry background preferred

Convergence Telephony Application Support Consultant
Key Responsibilities:
- As part of the Communications Solutions and Integration organisation, this person will provide remote and on-site support maintaining applications/solution for customers with maintenance contracts with the company, or ad-hoc support for non-contract customers based on Time & Material (T&M) basis.
- As part of the regular duties this role will have to be developing and implementing change requests to the existing solution.
- Responsible for response and issue resolution in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and other terms and conditions of the maintenance contracts.
- Support work may be carried out 24×7 with
SLA responses and issue resolution may have to be carried out after office hours if needed.
- May provide support to end user installations, configurations, upgrades and migrations through basic problem solving and troubleshooting.
- May include supporting 3rd party products.
- May support non-critical path activities in project on ad-hoc basis.
- May support lab and tools management.
- May support pre-sales activities including provision of technical advice, proof-of-concept setup and testing, presentation of technical solution.
